Portrait Prices

My intention is to create works of art that have lasting value. I determine prices according to involvement. This varies by clarity of photographs, details, and necessary changes in photo references more than size. Once all reference is available, it will take two to twelve months to complete the painting and six to twelve months for the painting to dry for final varnishing.

- Illustrations without faces are approximately 1/2 the cost.

- Pet portraits would include horses.
- More than one subject, add 30-100% per subject. Human portrait pricing does not include pets - add 50% of pet price to include pet.
- 1/2 figure does not include hands, add $500-2000 per person if hands are included.
- Larger sizes, extra detail, modification of photographs, multiple figures, and/or landscape backgrounds are individually priced.
- Prices do not include: Travel expense, airlines, eating or lodging, photography, framing, delivery, shipping costs or applicable sales tax. Photography fee is $400 charge 10-30% more or less depending on the subject, urgency or multiple purchases.
